Wedding portraits are formal photographs that can be taken of the bride and groom together, separately, and while in their formal wedding attire. The portraits can be captured in a professional studio setting with the appropriate lighting, in case the venue or church is unable to provide the same quality. Portraits are a fantastic way to highlight the couple together and create beautiful professional photos that can later be distributed for their loved ones or personal memories.
Portraits of Your Big Day
The difference between wedding portraits and your actual wedding day photos is that you have the option of taking portrait photos beforehand in a formal studio with all of the necessary equipment to get the perfect lighting, poses, and backgrounds. Things can happen on the wedding day that you don't anticipate, like rain, wind, and anything else that could disrupt the overall quality of your wedding photos. Portraits provide a happy medium that ensures you have beautiful-looking wedding photos to cherish, regardless of the backdrop for your actual day. If the backdrop for your wedding day turns out great, then you have more professional photos to choose from when selecting your prints!
Retouching Your Portraits
Any of the professional wedding photos that we take for you will later be retouched digitally to remove any imperfections, blemishes, and to smooth out the skin for an airbrushed effect. All of our photographers will spend quality time retouching all of your photos so that you have a flawless selection to choose from. Some of the main retouches that we perform include lighting adjustments, skin finishing, photo brightness, blurring imperfections, and removing unwanted items in the photos. This also saves you time and energy from having a professional graphic designer retouch your photos, as we’re able to provide both the photography services and retouching services together as one. The retouching process can take several days or weeks to complete, depending on how many pictures were taken and need to be retouched.
Ordering Your Portraits
Ordering your portraits can be done after you’ve seen the gallery of your photos and chosen the ones that you would later like printed. You may see some photos and poses that you prefer over others, as well as lighting and editing that enhances your aesthetic more. When you do find the portraits that you like, we will place an order for the appropriate sizes and copies of your favorite portraits. We will also advise you on the ordering and delivery time of your portraits, as they tend to vary.
Copies and Sizing
As with all of our wedding photographs, we offer a variety of sizing solutions so that you can find the one that best suits your needs. Once you've chosen the pictures you like and the sizing options available, we will then order your pictures to be developed to the size of your liking. This can be done on canvases so that you can either frame them, turn them into memory boxes, or hang them around your home as is.
